Lavender Rosemary

Our lavender and rosemary is produced without chemicals as nature intended. We use weed gunnel and lovegrass mulch to retain moisture and keep the weeds at bay. We mow between the rows and weed regularly to keep the plot looking attractive and make it easier when harvesting.

The lavender fragrance is delighrtful and helps relax your weary mind and body.

The rosemary makes a tasty addition to a roast meal, bbq kebabs and lots of other culinary dishes. It also makes an attractive garnish. In the olden days people kept a sprig of rosemary close while they were studying as they believed it helped them concentrate and absorb new information.

1. Fresh lavender in season $5.00 per bunch

Generous bunches of fresh long stemmed Lavandula x Intermedia 'Seal' is available in November and December each year during the picking season. The bright violet-blue spikes are very fragrant and go well in fresh floral displays. After this time hang the lavender to dry then add to other dried flowers to make a dried flower arrangement which will last for years.

2. Dried bulk lavender flowers $45.00 per kilogram

Our dried and stripped lavender is a blend of Lavandula x Intermedia 'Seal' and Lavandula Angustifolia 'Bostisto' . It is available throughout the year and is suitable for all craft uses including potpourri making.

3. Dried lavender bunches $5.00 per bunch

Generous bunches of dried lavender presented in cellophane sleeves to preserve the delicate flower spikes during transport. Just get them home and they are ready to be used by themselves or with other flowers and foliage to make a charming long lasting fragrant flower arrangement.

4. Lavender sachets (large) $6.00 each

These organza sachets measuring 14 x 11mm (5.5 x 4.5ins) come in ten colours from dark blue to light cream. The sachets have a matching satin drawstring and are generously filled with our lavender blend to make a wonderful stocking filler for Christmas and any other time throughout the year.

5. Lavender sachets (small) $4.00 each

These little lilac organza sachets measure 7 x 10mm (3 x 4ins). So small they'll fit easily into your pillowcase, luggage bag, drawer almost anywhere. Filled with our lavender blend they give that wonderful long lasting lavender smell.

6. Sleep pillows stack of two $7.00 stack of three $10.00

These little satin sleep pillows measure 10 x 10mm. (4ins x 4ins). Filled with our lavender blend they are designed to fit snuggly into your pillowcase. Many have found they bring on a sweet restful sleep. The stacks are attractively tied with satin ribbon.

7. Lavender wands $5.00 each

Our lavender wands are hand woven using Lavandula x Allardii and satin ribbon. Because they are handmade each one is different in length, colour and shape. They are all individual. The one constant ingredient is the lavender which will go on giving off its unforgettable scent for years. Just give it a squeeze every now and then.
In bygone days these wands were made to fit between sheets and bedclothes in storage to keep them fresh and sweet smelling. Today they make an attractive and practical gift with old worlde charm.

3. Dried rosemary $20.00 per kilo

Our rosemary is air dried naturally and keeps a good deal of its natural colour, aroma and flavour.

2. Rosemary skewers $6.00 per bunch

Our skewers come in bundles of 10. They are approx. 250mm. (10 ins.) long. Just right for threading with marinated lamb and vegetables, venison or whatever you choose. Perfect for an elegant bbq, home or restaurant menu.
