There are two ways to get here.
Coming from the north (Brisbane) you can follow the New England Highway until you get to Vincenzo's at Thulimbah. You'll recognise it because it has a great big apple outside and scrumptious food inside. Turn right off the highway at that corner, cross the railway line and turn into Amiens Road beside "Bella Rosa" tea house and collectables. You follow Amiens Road - also known as the Armistice Way, for 16 km through farmland and forest until you come to a 4 way intersection. If you are doing the forest section at night take care as all the kangaroos and wallabies come out just on dusk. Take the road on the right which is called (surprise, surprise) Amiens Road - Armistice Way. Only another 2 km and you are at our gate on the right.
The second way to get here is to follow the New England Highway to Stanthorpe, Turn
right
into the road to Texas (Qld) and proceed under the overpass. Turn
right
into Amiens Road - Armistice Way and follow it for 14.5km.
You will pass the turn off for Happy Valley Resort, Robert Channon Wines, and the directional sign for Giardino's Cafe. When you pass the Amiens State School and shop on your
left
start looking for a road on your
right
called Amiens Road - Armistice Way.
Turn into this Amiens Road and drive one kilometre up the hill and you have arrived ( sign and gate on the
left
)
If you had not turned right, but had gone straight ahead at the bottom of the hill you would be in Goldfields Road heading out to the trap rock country where some of Australia's finest wool is produced.
