Warm country hospitality in the beautiful Queensland mountains
"Staying at Shadowbox is an experience not just a place to stay"
Clydesdale Cottage B&B

Nestled amongst boulders Clydesdale Cottage looks out over much of our 82 acres farm. It is spacious and has complete bathroom and kitchen facilities as well as a cosy lounge room with a wood heater.

The cottage comprises three bedrooms with a queen sized bed in the first bedroom, a double bed in the second bedroom and bunk beds in the third. Each bedroom has a built in robe. The beds are made and towels, washer and soap are provided.

The kitchen has a gas stove, electric fridge freezer, microwave and all the cutlery, crockery, saucepans and wine glasses you should need. Tea and coffee, milk and sugar for a cuppa is provided in the cottage for your convenience. The grotto beside the cottage has a bush bbq for an outdoor cook up.

A full breakfast consisting of cereal, fresh juice, bacon and eggs, freshly baked bread, tea and coffee is provided each morning of your stay. We set it up on the homestead verandah in summer and spring (weather permitting) and in the homestead dining room in autumn and winter. We can provide you with a breakfast basket if you would like to cook your own. Very few people take that option.

We are most happy to give you a guided tour of our farm where you will get to view the lavender and rosemary field and commune with quiet Clydesdales, cows and calves, sheep, goats and chickens. We can also take you for a walk through Passchendaele State Forest - the home of many rare and beautiful wildflowers as well as wallabies, kangaroos and masses of birdlife.

Check in anytime after 3pm. Check out by 10am.

Right :  The kitchen has a gas stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, and all the saucepans, cutlery and crockery you could possibly need.  If its not there just ask, I've probably got one at the homestead.
